A new spring day has arrived!

Now you see what my granddaughters do all day while there here! Isabella just got her hair cut short for her and she wanted her hair curled so Alexandria is helping her out:) You remember girls day dont you all?

This is my latest afghan for my ex daughter n law. She is getting married in October and she liked the afghan I made for Alex and Janette wanted one too but in purple and black so tada here it is:) Now you know a little bit of what Ive been doing these past weeks

Tada here is the mess I was making! I put them all together and tada a bunny and a bunny egg! The bunny is for Micheal he wanted a bunny for Easter. Cute huh I got the pattern off of Esty.

Heres my spring flowers hubby bought for me over at Costcos. Now what do I do with them once there open all the way? Should I plant them or what I dont know much about tulips do any of you?

Terry is taking a few days off next week so maybe cross my toes I get to take a trip to Kingman for some Cracker Barrel:) Keep us in your prayers Id appreciate it! Have a great weekend.

HI my friends, Im really sorry Ive been away Ive been crocheting and hangin. Its so pretty out right now I dont want to stay inside. I really enjoy Spring dont you all? I went over to Danis blog and she has started a garden I wish I could do that but not with my animals they would tear it up and play in a garden:)

Im so excited about Easter this year my grandkids are suppose to attend church with me. I do hope they can! I went out and bought them pails and goodies to put into them and Im trying to crochet a little toy each but I dont know if Ill have time to do that or not. I did buy them a stuffed toy so that might have to do with lots of chocolate eggs and goodies:)

Oh ok Im off to Costco so pray I dont spend the kids money:) heehee tata for now...

Our house is a very fine house...

Heres our new gate we had commisssioned for the front of our house:) Do you see the bulldog protecting us amungst the roses?

Heres the pesky palm trees that need pruning every year! I perfer a real bushy tree to these because they dont give up much shade.

Heres a few of my very old we think 30 years hedges! The gardner is coming next week to shape them back into little balls well not so little but balls none the less!

Ive been busy crocheting ...like you wouldnt guess that...but I have. I start back up this Saturday with the bible study. We are gathering clothes for the needy so that should be great! I do have some clothes now that Ive lost a few pounds!

Im drinking my upteenth glass of tea for the day! I just love tea probably almost as I love crocheting... They go great together!

Rileys 10th birthday was on Monday and I made him a little amigurumi that he asked for Ill get a pic so you all can see!

Here are a few little flowers Im working on right now:) I just got a great little book called 100 flowers to knit and crochet. If I knew how to knit I would love to knit these little flowers. But there is over 50 crocheted flowers to amuse me so Im making them as fast as I can go:)

I started a new afghan as well for someone I cant mention here becasue others would know and tell her and I want it to be a surprise:) SO here I go again with crochet crochet crochet!

Im wanting to do a little embroidery right now so I may get in my stash of threads and make some cute little pillows I dont know but I do believe its because of Dani she inspires me to embroider. Heres my mom after she got out ogf the hospital. She is looking at a baby dress that I made that she asked me for.

Heres the baby dress, bloomers, hat, and booties that I made for a friend of my moms. She asked me for a little girlie dress:) I found the pattern at Annies Attic. It was so easy to make I loved doing it. I may do another one just for me so I can dress up my dolly. What do you all think?

How do you like my new pillow I found the pattern for the flower from a book I bought from my friend Dani . I loved making the flower and couldnt figure out what to do with them all till I thought of the pillow:) Cute huh?

Ok heres my grandkids in crochet! heehee thats what I told them so Im sticking to the tale:) heehee they where so much fun to make I think Im going to make pins out of them what do you think do you have any ideas of what to do with them?

As you can tell Ive been busy crocheting and doodling around. I really need to get my house straightened out because its spring! Thats what you do in the beginning of spring right?

I went to my friend Carols service it was so nice I loved it! Sweet and pleasant for what it was. I enjoyed the gathering of friends and all.

While I was there some saw my crochetedd bag and they asked if I would make them one so now Im in the midst of crocheting another bag. Im really enjoying the process of this bag it is so much fun to make. After I get done with making this bag Im going to start making the lapghans for my charity for this year. I decided to make them from the convalesant home again because I really think they need a little love from us all. I know so many think they are just forgotten. So I want to show them that Jesus never forgets them.

As you can see I dont have great pics of Shawn but I will try and remedy that while he is here with me. Its Shawns birthday today and he is so getting old! I cant believe it. His dad said he would do it over again but I said excuse me he didnt do it I did! heehee but Id do it over again for sure!

Shawns a good kid and a wonderful dad! He loves his kids, golf and likes mexican food, real mexican food!

Ok Im going to show you some up to date pics of some crochet I have been doing. So as soon as I get it uploaded to my computer I will do just that! heehee my head is not screwed on today! Oh happy day!

I wanted to thank everyone for the nice comments I recieved about my loving friend Carol and her passing. You made me feel so loved by you all for leaving me those sweet messages thank again! I will treasure them always... ok back to crochet:)

Heres my friend Carol. Isnt she pretty? Ive always loved the way she styled her hair. Very pretty indeed. Well on Sunday March 1st 2009 at 5:05 pm Carol went home to be with the Lord. I will miss Carol something terrible I know. I wish I would have called her on Saturday like I wanted too but my life just got in my way. You all know how that goes dont you? Carol was a very sweet woman and very giving. She was a wonderful friend that any one could ask to know. She was stubborn too let me tell you. She made the best beef sandwiches Ive ever had and the most wonderful potatoe salad. Im just going to have to wait till I get to heaven to get more I know! Carol loved collecting dolls and she loved her children. I pray Carol knows how much I loved her. Please say a prayer for her family and many friends. They too miss her already Im sure of that!

My darling daughter Abbea saw this bedset on the site of Linen and Things before they closed so she bought it for me. Isnt it pretty?

The set came with the comforter, 3 deco pillows, and 2 sets of sheets , and shams

I dont have all the pillows that it required so I need to go out and buy more pillows. I need 2 26in square pillows so I need to go search:)

This is my daughter Abbea helping me set the bed up so I could take pics. The bed set said it was a California King and my bed is an Eastern King. But I was shocked when the sheets fit perfect. Oh well too cool for me huh?

Ive been crocheting as usual and I love crocheting like you didnt know that already:) heehee I called the UMC hospital here in town and they got back to me that they dont need baby caps right now so I decided that Im going to concentrate on lapghans this year and get as many done as I and Karen can do. Im waiting for a great sale on yarn so I can get stocked up.

I talked to Carol tonight and she really wants out of there and to get home soon. She is doing somewhat better but lets continue to pray that she gets more strength in her legs. She tells me that she must be a bad person if God is not getting her better so lets show her how wrong she is !

I went to a new pain specialest the other day and Im in store for some MRIs coming up in the neaar future lets pray they find out exactly what is wrong with my back and that I can start walking without all the pain. I asked the doctor to help me get off meds not on more so I pray he will listen to me!

Ok I better get back to Terry, Numbers is on and he wants me to sit and watch it with him:) So Im going to do a little crocheting too! OH happy day...

Heres the finished piece. Terry and Abbea held it up so I could take a pic of it. Its big huh? I really like this pattern it works up really quickly I must say. I started it a few weeks ago and walla its done!

I havent decided on what Im going to do next Im debating on making another pillow so go with my afghan but I just dont know ...

I want to start with the charity for this year. Ive decided on 2 differant charities One will be the convelstant home I gave to last year Or actually it qwas Karen and I. And maybe makinaby caps for the local county hospital. I think it would be fun to do both this year. WHat do you all think? IM I biting off more than I can chew? or crochet?

Carol seems to be doing a little better she is trying to get up and move around. Please continue to pray for her legs to be strong.

Andrew is seeking a job at the water department here in Vegas lets all agree together that he gets it! Thanks you Jesus!

I lost another 7 pounds so Im still working on loosing. IM hoping as the weather gts better that I venture out and start walking so....Karen did you read that? heehee we will see!

I had lunch with the girls yeasterday and it was so good. I love mexican food!

Spring is in the air here and I cant wait. IM hoping to maybe plant some tomatoes this year but as Ive been told Im not very good at it so Ill just try and see what happens this year:)

Heres the ending of my new pillow, I just wanted you to see the hook that my sweet hubby bought me for my Christmas gift for 08:) Its solid silver and it crochets wonderful. The makers site is over at http://www.celticswan.com/crochet.htm it ran about 100.00 dollars but I just love it. Its one of a kind too!
Heres another pic of the pillow and the hook:) You wouldnt believe that I ran out of the Vanna Choice Pea Green yarn twice once with the afghan and now with the pillow, I only needed a few inches but of course I went to Micheals and to JoAnns and could not find the yarn to finish it up. But I went Friday and tada there it was at Micheals. So I finished it right away and its looks great. See for your self! Do you love it like I do?I love this little pillow it goes so well with my afghan and it worked up really nice. I may make another one just because I have the yarn left to do so. I dont know... what do you all think?

Ok heres a few updates I dont know or remember if I told you I started a really neat bible study from my church-Valley Christian Center. Its The Relationship Principles of Jesus written by Tom Holladay hes a teaching pastor at Saddleback Church and the brother n law of Pastor Rick Warren. ITs a really insightful study. If you get a chance to purchace the book get it its great!

Carol is still in the hospital and she wants out really really bad so lets all pray she gets strength in her legs so she can walk! Yipee lets see what Jesus can do!

Im in the midst of making a afghan for my grand daughter Alexandria. Shhhh...Dont tell her its a surprise. Its in her favorite colors red and blck Ill take a few pics and post the next time Im on here:)

Ive got a house guest for awhile my son Shawn. With him being here I get to see my grandbabies more:) Aweeeee I hope it last for a while:) heehee dont tell him that!

Please pray for my son n law Andrew he has put in a job application at the local water dept for a new job. Lets pray he gets it!

Please keep praying for Carol she is being moved today and she is nervous about the move, she really wants to go home. Please pray for strengnth in her legs so she can get up and move around!

Oh yea Happy Feburary can you believe its Feburary already? Only a few more months and it will be Christmas again. I have to start thinking on what charity Im going to do this year. Its between baby caps for UMC Hospital here in Vegas or maybe more lapghans for the convelesant home again. What do you all think? Baby caps not preemies that have too many of thoses right now they need just regular hats. I need to pray about it all ya think?

I know I know I havent been around for a week or so! Ive been busy crocheting my bag do you like it? It was so neat and fast to make I found the pattern over at http://attic24.typepad.com/ site she does such awesome crochet work there! I love her site. Thats were I got the inspiration to make my Hex Afghan from too! I posted a pic of the finished afghan do you like that too? I really enjoyed making theses items so colorful and fun to do. I even decided to make the little pillow with the left over yarn. I took pics of the back and the front side. I needed a size 14" round pillow form and I couldnt find one around here so I ordered mine from Ebay and it came today so I finished off the pillow It looks like I should have ordered a size 15 or 16 inch round pillow form but oh well its done:)

I just recieved my new Rooster tea towels from Dani over at her site(http://dani-chinalakenews.blogspot.com/) in todays mail. I took a pick of them so you can see how happy I am with them Thanks to Dani she does awesome work, she has inspired me to maybe do a little embroidery of my own:) Heehee heres hopin I can remember how to thread or even see the needle:) hehee haw haw ok I know its not that funny!

Im in the process of making some really cute little crocheted figurine dolls when Im done Ill show them to you for you conciderations:)

PLEASE continue to pray for my friend Carol. She is still in rehab she has not been able to move around and we are asking Jesus to give a miracle so she can go home soon. And say a little prayer from her daughter Sherry she is doing all she can right now for her mom.

Oh Ive been loosing weight still, as soon as I get a new number Ill get back to you with it. Im do to see the doc in a week or two!

Ive been busy crocheting as usual:) Ive have taken some time off and made this little rabbit. Isnt it cute? It was really easy to make too! I took a pic of the rabbit with no heart and then another with the heart how do you like it? cute huh?

Im still working on the Hex afghan and I think its coming along really great. I saw this movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and the star Jane Powell wore this really pretty cover over her shoulders in the movie so Im thinking of making it. I studied the pattern the best I could Ill take a pic of the motif and show you what I came up with, I think it would be fun to make. The movie was made in 1954 wow thats so cool that they showed a crochet piece way back when:) heheh I was born in 1955 see how old I am?

Ok on a much brighter note Carol has awaken from her slumber in the hospital. I was going to go see her today but she asked that I not see her but by the end of the day she says I can so Ill be going to the hospital tomorrow and see that she is indeed ok! But please continue to pray for Carol she needs to be in rehab and you know what that can do to you. SO please continue in your daily prayers for my friend Carol and her family.
Ok Ive not been working on my Hex afghan and I can feel the effects of not crocheting on a daily basis, heehee haw haw! Can you believe that I have not crocheted in a few days AND Im admitting to it! I went for an adjustment today and I saw this lady knitting a washcloth and I could kick my self for not bringing my crochet and I always have it with me. Oh yea great news I lost 6 pounds over the holidays. I havent been to an adjustment since November 4th and I ate like crazy over the holidays I thought but I must be doing something good. So Im back to my 4 ounces and not eating junk!
I got the greatest crochet books from Dani off of her Etsy site go chewck her out she does awesome embroidery work if your looking for some emberoidery I bet she can do it whatever it may be you want done!
