A blessing from God

  I reached out recently to a blogger friend and asked for prayer and I received it in great bunches.
  I want to clean my house and prepare my home for the Lord to entertain me here. And I want to read His word and be blessed with remembering it maybe retaining it fully.
  so what I pray I will do is add scripture here that I want to read and ponder on the whole week.
  So here goes my first Scripture is:
God blesses those who realize their need for Him, For the Kingdom of Heaven is given to them.
Matthew 5:3
 The Poor in Spirit
   When the world call for you to hate...Love instead.
   When the world call for to take ...give instead.
   Give up your own rights in order to serve others.
 Gods way of living usually contradicts the worlds way of living ,
 You need to live as God asks and one day you'll receive all He has for you.

  Ok lets all study this  scripture and learn what ever it is that God has for us.

Can I stay away so long

I've been busy crocheting and living my life with our lord and savior . I'm hoping to be able to return to Montana again this year.
I got a new puppy a few weeks ago. His name is Buster and he's a ver good-looking Bulldog English of course.
What have you all been doing while I've been away?

I'm still here but no computer

Hi all this is from my iPod. I'm here but my computer died last October and it's been hit and miss ever since. I'm stii (and always will) be crocheting. I'm making valentine dolls right now. Ok as soon as I get a new computer maybe April I'll post more. Please don't forget me!

Montana Trip

  WOW Ive been gone awhile I havent I? Well I did go on that month long trip with my friend Karen and we had a blast! I took my little pound puppy Bella along because she was having such a hard time here at home with Max. She loved it too!
  When we go to the camp ground at Hungry Horse, Montana there was a nice grassy meadow behind our camp and we were able to let Bella and Karens MJ off their leashes and they had a blast, Bella had her nose to the ground the whole time. She discovered grass hoppers and she love chasing them. I loved watching her have so much fun. When we arrived home she was so let down she was sad for a few days. Now she is back to her old self.
  Terry showed up on the 10th day of trip.We had rain the whole time till he arrived and then there was sun shine all day long after he showed up. He had a blast too. We went up to Glacier National Park and we hiked about 1 Terry says 2 miles on the Trail of Cedars. It was so pretty. I did take lots of pics but my camera does not work right now to transfer my pics to computer. When I get my new computer I will fix all that pic posting for sure.
  Ive started with the Christmas Lapghans this year Karen and I have over 35 lapghans made so far. I was hoping for 70 but I think we will make around 40 for sure. I need to start my booty making for my mom and sis oh yea son n law wants some too. I was thinking I could make socks but I will try Ive never made them for others so I dont know what size to make them all in. Ive just always made them to fit me. But I am taking knitting lessons so maybe next year I can have them all made for them all.
  OK Ive been jabbering now for a while. I was over at www.EaglesWings@blogspot.com for so much needed recipe go check it out if you want I know she loves visitors.

Shepards pie

Ok I tried for the second time to make Shepards pie. My son tells me Im not using a correct dish to cook it in. I used a cassarole dish about 3 inches tall and the recipe as follows.

   My Shepards Pie

1 pound hamburger

1 onion

can of peas, carrots, corn and beans

4 or so cups mashed potato

   cook the meat with chopped onion. layer in dish meat first them veggies one at a time then the mashed potatoes on top.

  Bake at 350 f for about 30 to 40 minutes.

Is there a better recipe out there? I had alot of juice and my son says I should of used a shallow pie dish and to really drain the veggies (which I thought I did, Karen says I should use frozen veggies not canned because of the water content) What do you all think? Ill take any suggestions you can give me.

  Ok dont tell Izabella but Im makiing her the Abby doll from NCIS for her birthday this year so I need to get started right now because her birthday is September 12th. I dont have lots of money this year so I thought I would buy her clothes and make her a doll. She loves dolls and she has been begging me to make the Abby doll. OK Its out little secret if I can I will find my camera and see it I can upload a pic when I get done.

I know I lnow Ive been gone awhile

Ive been busy with my life and God has been busy with me too! I hope you all have been great this summer. Its been way hot here in Vegas. But from what I hear its hot hot hot all over this country.
  Ive been busy with crochet as always but Im getting a little down but I know I can make it through. We have a little over 20 lapghans and I was hoping for at least 50 or 60 this year but I will continue on till we have to stop.
  Im trying to plan for my christmas list but I dont know if I will crochet gifts this year. I was thinking of just doing myself a new afghan this year instead of making stuff for everyone. Thinking of taking a little break I think. What do you all think ? Should I take this year off?
  Ive been baking lots of cookies and making new and exciting dinners I hope. If you have any recipes for easy and quick dinners send them my way Ill try them all.
  Ok my friends if you think of me while your saying your prayers please pray that I grow in Gods word and stay in His word.

Tonights Dinner

Wow Im in the middle of making dinner for tonight. Terry went to bed early and Im all alone so I decided to makes some really great meatloaf muffins:
1 pound of Hamburger
1 box Stovetop
3/4 cup water
1 chopped onion
1/4 cup ketchup
bake at 350 for 45 minutes in a cupcake pan should make around 8 to 10 meat muffins Yummy!

  Im also making mashed potatoes and green beans now thats a great dinner!
  Im thinking about making some cookies I just dont know what kind I was thinking maybe this new recipe I found on line (cant remember where sorry) You could google them they are called
  Grandmas Jo's Snickerdoodles
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups unbleached flour
2 teas cream of tatar
1 teas baking soda
1/4 teas salt
2 tbl sugar
2 teas ground cinnamon
  Cook at 400 degrees. Mix 1 1/2 cup sugar, butter, shortening and eggs. Stir in flour, cream of tatar,baking soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix 2 Tab sugar and cinnamon roll balls into mixture to coat. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until ready around 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack should be around 6 doz.
This recipe comes from the Stubb s Family and they would like you to pray for the farmers when you enjoy these cookes because without them you will not have these ingreadients to make these wonderful cookies.

summer clean

man oh man oh man...I decided along with a push from hubby that I would go throughg our garage that has been piled high with boxes from our 10 years ago move. I have found items I mean my crochet stuff and my china that I have not seen but I just kenw that I had somewhere! And now I have a bunch of boxes in my living room. So this summer I will go through all of the boxes that I have whittled down to whats in my living room, which is quite alot, I will be spending my summer crocheting my lapghans and going through the boxes to try and get rid of more stuff! Do you know that I have 5 sets of dishwear some china some vintage and some new that friends and family have left me. I have no idea what to do with them all. I have 2 sets of my own that I dont use now. I need more curio cabinsts but no place to put them anywehre. heehee I will just have to pawn some stuff off to my daughter I know she will hate that!

Wow what a great month its been here in Vegas. I finished a great bible study and Im planning on visiting my friend Diane very soon so alls well:)

Ive been crocheting the afghans for the convelesant home I need 80 of them and Karen and Julie are busy crocheting too:) Thanks Jesus for the help! See what prayer can do for you when you ask?

Ive been cooking alont lateely too baking and cooking I should say. Ive been busy with the crock pot as well. I found a great cookbook for slow cookers and it has a lot of great recipes. I lov ethat all you have to do is fix it all up and let it cook all night and walla its ready to eat when Im up tho I really dont want to eat as soon as I get up but at least its ready when I am:)

inquiring minds need to eat!

Roast Recipe:

3 to 5 pounds roast ( I got mine from Costco)
1 envelope Italian Dressing
1 envelope Brown gravy
1 envelope Beefy Onion Soup mix
1 pound sliced mushrooms
1 to 1-1/2 cups water

Add roast to crockpot. Mix envelopes to water, add mushrooms to roast, pour water mix over mushrooms and roast set to high for first hour then to low for next 6 to 8 hours.
I thought about adding one sliced onion to this maybe next time I will:) Enjoy my friends...

Todays been great!

I starteded my day from the night before. I put a pot roast in the crockpot for the next day. I added the roast, envelope of italian dressing, pound of sliced mushrooms and envelope of beefy onion soup( which was suppose to be brown gravy mix) I didnt have any brown gravy so I used the soup mix. and I added 1 cup water. This cooked all night and I got up around 9 am to check on it and it was way to watery for me . So I went to the store and bought the brown gravy mix and it was just what the recipe called for.
I had to attend my bible study and the study was a bout mariage and it was great! Im happy to say Im on the right track in my marriage thats GOds track for sure!
I came home around 6 amd made the corn dish we all love and Terry made the mashed potatoes. Man oh Man was the dinner great. Ill writ ethe corn dish out so you all can try it if you like.
Corn Dish recipe:
1 box Jiffy mix
1 stick soft butter
1 cup sour cream
1 can cream corn
1 can sweet corn
3 tablespoons sugar
1 egg

Mix all well toether. Pour into cassarole dish and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
Thats it and we all love this dish I hope you do to!

Oh my goodness it has been so busy here amoungst all my peeps:)
Ive been gearing up for my charity crochet for this year and it will be again for the convelsant home here in Vegas. This year we will need to crochet some 80 lapghans this year. So Karen and I have rounded up some peeps to help us out this year. Let me introduce you all to our new friends Lois, Julie and Shelly. Shelly helped us last year and shes back for more. So please pray for us that we are sustained and work quickly and finish all come this November 1st:)
We buried my very missed Mom n Law this past 7th and all is starting to settle down abit. Abbea moved into our old homestead and found being a home owner so much fun! not!
Ive been busy going to doctors and trying to break my weight goal which is very slow so Im hoping to start swimming and that may get me over this hump! Ive tried walking but the arthritis is a real bitc* to overcome. Im getting old for sure!
My MaryKay business is rather slow Ive handed out freebies and books but know one calls:( Maybe Im not made out for selling makeup and girlie stuff! I need to stick to my crochet.
CROCHET is more my passion if you know me and I know you all do.

yummy dinner tonight

I made a great dinner from the recipe I got off of Danis blog http://dani-eagleswings.blogspot.com/ It was a recipe from her moms recipe box:) My hubby loved it and could not get enough of it! I liked it to it was a really simple recipe to make too. Now I have a favorite to make ever so often for sure.

today as always

I went to lunch yesterday with my friends Diane and Sherry. We had some really great pizza...yummmm. I miss seeing my friends very much these days but oh well what can you do?
Im in the midst of crocheting some irish roses for a pillow I want to add to0 my bedroom. I started it in number 10 med pink thread and I just realized that I was suppose to use regular cotton to do the pillow ow well Ill make 2. As soon as I can get my regular computer back Ill add some pics of all the crochet Ive been doing. Im getting ready to start a new afghan I need to have ready by mid April:) whew I better get started huh?

Did you think I forgot about all of you? My computer has been on the blink for quite sometime now and my daughter brought over hers for me to use and Im lost with out my computer with all my pics to choose from! Wow say that in one long breath! heehee.

Ive been crocheting like mad as of late I sometimes feel like I cant get enough of it. There is so much to make and do I cant seem to get time to do it all. I want to grow a garden like my friend over at EagleWings and I just dont know if I can do that and crochet too!

Today is Pickles 17th birthday WOW Im old! Pickle is my granddaughter Alexandria. She is getting so big. She is off to Texas next few weeks to check out colleges did I spell that right? Oh well who cares. I will miss her terrible if she goes off to Texas for school. But her Nana will love it because thats where she lives!

Abbea got moved into the old homestead like she wanted to and boy has she had one issue agter another:) Oh home ownership what a treat!

Ok Im off to do some more crocheting as I said and I hope you all do too! This is National Crochet Month! Yipee an nother excuse to crochet....

Hi there my friends IM BAAAACCCKKK! I am so happy that Im home Ive missed you all! I had the best time in Hawaii Debbie showed me the whole island and we had a blast! The bestest part of the trip was getting to meet new friends Thats their picture from left to right is Darbi, Debbie behind me and then Kyoko and Vergie. They all welcomed me with open arms and really showed me how friendly and lovely Hawaiian folks are.
I cant wait to go back with Terry someday and get to see my new friends again. Ok I just wanted to let you all know that Im back. I have lots I mean lots of pictures but Ill do all that another day. So be blessed and have a happy crochet day...

Well I will be back lord willing...Im hoping to go to Pearl Harbor this week and maybe do some snorkeling I have a luau (spelling) tonight and then A day of rest.

I cant wait to be home I miss my family and I know they miss me too. I miss my little fur babies as well. I did buy them a little something something.

I decided that I cant bring home all the yarn that the nice Janice gave me because I cant pack it all. Oh boowhoo you know me and free yarn I would love to take it all home and make lapghans with it all but thats ok I think Karen has lapghans waiting for me to assemble when I get back anyways.

Ok Im off to take a shower because it does get sticky here ya know...happy day to you all...

still in Hawaii

Hello my friends, Im still in Hawaii crocheting everfyday for all my new friends here. Im doing pratty good concidering that I miss my hubby very much and all my family as well.
I dont know how to upload pics here on this computer so Im not going to untill I get home. We are going to a luao (sp) on Monday night then snorkeling sometime next week. I hope I can fit into my bathing suit by then:) Im eating pretty good here lots of hawaiian dishes and Thia or yea Chinese too! So as you can tell im not starving that for sure. Ive been bad by eating lots of chocolate as well I know I need to stop that for sure!
Ok Im off to take a shower and get ready for the day. I got up late today not feeling up to par but I think I will feel better after the shower.

Izabella just had her 12th birthday this past September and Shawn and I bought her the American Girl baby twin dolls and she just love them as you can see. Oh to be a little girl again.
I found this pattern onlne and I just had to make it, isnt the kitty cute? Terry is allergic to cats so I can have any but when I was little I always had a cat until Terry and I married that is:)

Here is the beginnings of a pillow that I will show you in just a minute:) I dont do alot of thread work but when I do whatch out! I keep making things in thread too I think if I can Ill take some on the plane with me.

Tada here is the pillow I told you about didnt it turn out great? Izbella has claimed it as hers so I have fight her for it every time she comes over:)

Wow Ive got 8 followers now so cool to have you follow me here on my little blog. Ive been busy crocheting (is that news?) But I am far behind in my charity afghan but I know when I get back from Hawaii that I will catch up.

I pray that you all have a fantastic October. October is my favorite season right along with May I think. I love fall and spring for sure. I love the changing seasons thats kinda funny because I was always one that didnt like change. Change of any kind upset me but as Ive gotten older I have come to enjoy the changing ways of the world.

Im off to Hawaii on Wednesday and I wish I could take you all with me oh what fun we would all have for sure! Terry bought me the new Ipod touch so I can get internet on it so Ill be checking in on you all. My hubby is so worried about me going on this trip and do pray that he will be ok without me. I think he will be ok with the dogs to look after him and all.

I did get a new USB cord for my camera but found out that the connection in my camera is broken and I was able to buy some little dohicky that takes the digital disk that I can upload pics so I can give you some more great pics of my every faithful little companion Bella, So enjoy! Yikes I forgot

To tell you all Ill be leaving for the big island on the 7th of October and Ill be back on the 9th of November:) So again pray that Ill survive without my hubby and my doggies! Oh yea Ill miss you all too:)

Hawaii bound

Hi ya friends, Im off to Hawaii for a month to see my friend Debbie who I have known since I was around 11 or so. Im 53 now so you do the math:) heehee Terry told me to go for a month so Im going! I do hope I dont get too home sick tho. Please pray for me because the last time I left for a 2 week vacation without Terry I came back after 5 days later:) Very sad I know.
Well I ordered my USB port cord for my camera since I could not find one here in Vegas. :( So I can upload pics, for you all to see what Ive been up to as of late.
I got an email from a freind of mine and she was requesting prayers for a soilders wife name Cindy who has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. Would you please pray for her she needs to stay alive for her little 5 year old son for sure!
Ok now I have been crocheting like crazy but not on my charity crochet lapghans (shame on me for sure) I need to get back to that really quick or Karen will kick my but when she gets back from Montana. I made quick little soap covers for christmas gifts and Ive made a birhtday gift for a friend of mine and Ive been doing little diddies here and there for no other good reason than to be just crocheting....you know what I mean.

Busy Busy Busy

Friends, Ive been busy doing all kinds of stuff lately. Been mostly crocheting for a friends birthday and doing my charity crochet.
I went out to see Di and Larry @ Moms Diner and they actually had some meatloaf and mashed potatoes for me to eat YUM! They make the best meatloaf oh yea I did get an order of Peach Cobbler and it was fantastic of course I brought most of everything home because you know I cant eat all that food at one sitting, I had it over 3 days and it was still yummy. So if you get a chance to go to Moms Diner say Sherri sent you they may give you some ice with your ice tea:) heehee
I finished my friends birthday gift and I took a pic so when I ever get my cord for my camera Ill upload the pic so you all can see. It turned out really pretty.
Did I mention to you that I listen to podcasts every night almost? Well there is one I listen too called GettingLoopy its a crochet podcast and Marybeth is the hostess and she gives away a prize every week. And this week I won! Yippeeeee And I love what I won. Its 2 free patterns from PlanetJune she makes amigurumi animals and such. I picked out the dachsund pattern and the african flowers so I can make gifts for peoples:)
Oh yea Im hoping to go to the Pahrump Fair in the next couple weeks so Please say a little prayer that Terry says yes because I really want to attend a fair sometime this year.
Ok Ive written a book and I know I dont have any pics maybe I should go and get a pic out of my records what do you think? ok I will! Tata for now...

September already?!

WOW this year has just flown by this year. I cant believe it is already in September. Its been hectic here I just wish it would slow down so I could breathe alittle. I just read the most wonderful news. Over at http://attic24.typepad.com/ she announced that she is expecting a little baby. I just love that this time of year. I wish I could have another baby but alas Im a little to old for that job, Im just going to have to wait for my great grandchildren that should take a while thats for sure!
Ok Ive been busy crocheting (whatelse is new). Im preparing my self for a long visit with my dear friend Debbie for a month in Hawaii next month. And I just cant bring myself to stay away from my crochet that long so I need to figure out what hook and project to take a long with me. I need to find out what I can take on the plane thats for sure. Any ideas?
Bible study starts up this Saturday. Im looking forward to that. The ladies are such a joy to study with.
Im hoping to go to Pahrump this weekend with Sherry. I think that will be fun we always do have a good time there with Di and Larry. Their resturant is going great so we may not get to visit much. But it should be fun!
I still have not got a new cord for my camera as you can see. I have been taking pics of all Ive been doing so when I locate the cord Ill post the pics for you all to see.
The new tv season is coming I glad for that because Ive been watching reruns all summer. And Im tired of that:)

Jabbering along

Hiall!
I thought well if I dont have a pic to show you that I could at least tell you what Ive been up to lately. I want to tell you that I have fallen in love with my Ipod! Heehee I didnt even have one a few months ago and now I can live without it. I listen to many podcast which are free so thats good. I do have some music on my ipod too, but not much. Just some oldies of Diana Ross and George Straight. My podcast are so much fun I have christian podcasts and crafty podcast. I just listen to a new one actually a video podcast of the Yarn Garden shop. Its a local yarn shop and it has all the ladies in there chatting about differant stuff like their stash. Oh what fun.
Im in the middle of making lapghans and of course I finished my doily pillow. I cant wait to show you all. Im trying to figure out or actually find a pattern for crocheted socks that are made from sock yarn so you can wear them with shoes like knitted socks. Im even get this, actually thinking of learning to knit socks what do you all think? Ive never been a great knitter Im better at crocheting but what the woop Ill give it a shot. As soon as Im finished with the lapghans that priority onr right now.
OK Im going to even try and start embroidering or sewing I have so much I want to do ....maybe I should clean up my craft space and see what I have already before I start something new.
