This little lamb ...

This little lamb was from a Leisure Arts booklet #800535 if your interested. It made up very quickly. I made if for my doctors nurse. I wanted to make a cute little toy. I gave it to her last week, I forgot to add the little cow bell to the neck. Oh well I'll take it to her later.

This is the back side.

Here's the front. I was going to embroider her face on but I decided to add the bits. I think it turned out so cute.

This is my little Sissi. She helped me by watching me in every step of the way. It's been so hot here in Vegas I'm just so happy the humidity is so low. I'm already planning for the fall and Christmas. I pray you are all staying cool and that you at peace.

I've been so upset with what's going on in the political arena that I finally had to shut it all out of my life. I was miserable listening to all the lies going on in the news. So I've opted out. I prayed and God washed me with peace in my decision.
So I'm going to crochet and knit to my hearts delight.

Gift to Dr. Charlie's nurse and one for Izzy

This is the little box I bought to put in all the crochet goodies for my doctors nurse. She is due to have a little boy join her family at the end of August. It was so fun to make all the little boy items. I do hope she likes it all.

Here it all its , in all its glory!

I made a little sweater, and some booties, with a toy and a hat to match.

This is the blanket I made. She didn't want just blue she wanted something he would grow up with.

I love the little box. Oh and the little booties in the top of the box was going to be for the baby but they are way too little so I made a little hanger for them.

These are for my granddaughter Izabella. She asked me to make some boot cuffs for her. I made one pair but they were way to small. So I made these I do hope they fit her. I like making them they were very satisfying to make easy Peasy one day crochet.

I've been wanting to make a knitted shawl for myself. I bought the yarn on my trip to New Orelans from the the Quarter shop.

I have plans to hopefully finish my socks I started months ago. I want to be able to knit socks mindlessly.

I'm so excited for the fall to arrive, it's been really hot this summer. And I'll be happy to be done with it. I'm gearing up to make fall items. Are you doing the same?

I have another trip to Colorado, but this time Terry is going to come with me. He wants to see Mount Rushmore and it's only a few hours away from Debbie's place. Debbie is having surgery this week please if you can say a prayer all goes well for her.

My bulldog Buster is having problems with his ears. I've tried everything but surgery for him. He needs lots of healing prayers, please?

Ok I'm off to shower and dress for the day.

My first Caribbean cruise

This is what greeted me in our cabin every day. There were different animals. I loved this one because it reminded me of Buster.

This is me chillin with my knitting. Our first stop was St. Thomas island. I loved it. We took a tour up into the mountains and stopped at several sites to see the island. It was awesome.

This is Lisa my friend who encouraged me to cruise. She was a great roomie. We loved everything the same! Awesome.

I had fresh fruit everyday in every meal I had. I loved it. The food on board was fantastic.

This was our ship the Norwegian Escape. We were on the 12th floor room 12896.

This is Lisa relaxing. She brought her coloring items and we sat out by the pool and relaxed.

Ok here I am loving our balcony. We sat out there and drank our coffee and tea and watched the world go by every morning. I knitted every chance I could out there.

Ok my friends if you ever get a chance take a cruise. It was so much fun! I hope Terry and I can go on an Alaskan cruise in the near future.

Live loved!

Summer fun!

This is my beautiful granddaughter Izabella. She is now 18 and graduating from High School on the 9th. She is so beautiful inside and out. She is a vegetarian and a crocheter. She loves to read and hang with her friends. I pray God bless her always with a happy and fulfilled life.

Ok this is what I've been doing since my last posting. I've been knitting mittens for Betsy Queen. She asked for some help and I took on the challenge. I've made 12 sets. Got a little bored and made this all color one. Do you like it? Do you think some little kid will like it? I'm going to make the other one now so you will no what I'm upto these days.
I'm still crocheting inbetween knitting but I'm learning, so far so good.

June 8th is Terry and mys 42 year anniversary. We are going on a little trip to New Orleans. Then I'm off to a Caribbean cruise with my friend Lisa. I'm so busy this summer. I have to plan my carry on projects carefully. I'm thinking one crochet and one knitting. What do you think?

Ok my friends I'll try and take lots of pics and be back here sooner than later.
Wishing you a very merry summer and try and stay cool! And relax it will be fall sooner than you think!

knittin at last

Are these lovely little sheep or what? They are so pretty. I'd love to have all these colors to knit or crochet with what about you all?

These are my very first knitted, yes I said knitted, mittens. With the help of Betsy Queen to get me to learn to make these cute little mittens. I'm hoping to make lots of pairs for Betsy and all the little ones who are so cold during the winter months. I live in Vegas and we just don't really need mittens so it's been fun learning to do them. I actually feel like I know how to knit and understand what I'm doing.

Don't mind the mess behind the little knotted mittens. It's just clutter and I was too lazy to ge p and move it all.

I'm going to take pics of my craft room for you all the before and after pics. It's so packed with boxes of stuff I just really need to destash my whole house. My hubby would love it.

Be blessed my friends and enjoy your week

60th birthday has arrived

Well well well I made it to 60 years old. Can you believe it? I can't!
I'm having a blast tho. Terry took me out to Capos which is a local speakeasy steakhouse here in Vegas. If any of you come to visit me we will go there, it's so much fun! I didn't eat steak tho I had meatballs and mashed potatoes, yum with marinara sauce! So good!
What's your plans for the new year to come? I'm going to do more knitting and crocheting! I have plans to finish the Lords Supper I started a few years back. Let's hope I can get it done this year! Hahaha
I bought a wonderful book over the Christmas vacation it's called The Power of Prayer, it's a devotional I just love it. It kinda teaches you to pray and get closer to God all in one little book. I love it.

Jan 1  but whatever was to my profit I now
Consider loss for the sake of Christ.
Philippians 3:7

Prayer has to do with the whole being of a person. When a person prays, he does so with his whole nature. When he receives benefits in prayer, it involves his whole being.
The largest results of praying come to him who gives
Himself-all of himself, all that belongs to himself - to God.
This is the secret of full consecration and the sort of praying
That produces the largest fruit.

Dear Lord, I want to give myself to You completely
In prayer so that my life can produce the largest fruit for
Your glory. Amen.

Be blessed my friends in the new year and all the days to come.

Peace to Isreal
And to
America

Huge pumpkin 2015

I made this jumbo pumpkin for my dear friend Lisa. She had surgery and I nursed her overnight. She was a great hostess and I wanted to give her some thing to remember me by. This pumpkin worked up in a little more that 2 hours. I loved making it. I can't wait to make more!

This is a little pic of what size you can see how big it was.

Happy October everyone. I love fall it's so cool and showy in nature. I love Spring as well.you can find the pattern for the pumpkin on Ravelry if you want to make one. The pattern is free.

number 12

Here I am in all my toothy glory! Haha
Two weeks ago I was sitting on the couch watching tv and munching on corn nuts. As I was munching away I bit down on 2 corn nuts at once, and I promptly heard and felt my number 12 tooth crack! Yikes I thought I heard the world crack it was so loud in my head!
I went to the dentist on Tuesday and they too X-rays and looked at it with a camera. The doctor said he could not see where the tooth was cracked and maybe I was lucky and just bruised the gum really bad. On Wednesday I felt the tooth moving around in the gum. On Thursday I called the dentist and he said the gum was badly bruised and it would tighten back up on the tooth in a few days.
Well I was scheduled to travel to Colra on the next Tuesday bit the dentist said all was well. While in Colorado I developed a huge blister on my gum inside and on the outer side. My friend was scared for me because my cheek was swollen this was on Saturday. I gargles with salt water and took pain meds till I came back to Vegas on Monday.
I went to see the dentist on Tuesday and he took another X-ray but this time you could plainly see where the tooth cracked. It didn't crack vertically but horizontally! The doctor told me that in all his 31 years as a dentist he had never seen a tooth crack like mine. Ha I'm one of a kind!
Sunday the top part of the tooth feel out. And today I went to a surgeon to have the rest of the tooth removed. I also went and got a temporary bridge put on. Wow I didn't know that they did the bridges right away. I like it because it hides the hole in my gum.
So the al to ristorante is DONT eat corn nuts and kill your perfectly good teeth.
As you can see in my smile my bridge hides my missing number 12 tooth beautifully.
The dentist gave me a purple necklace which holds my tooth. So see I got jewelry for all my troubles!
Hahahahahahahah!

I don't recommend it!

2015 Charity lapghans

Charity lapghans getting stacked. I have 20 made so far. Actually we made 30 but donated 10 to the local VA for the vets. My goal this year is 40. I'm trying not to do anything else until these are done.

I went to see the War Room a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome. I highly recommend it. We went to see 90 minutes in Heaven today and we loved it too. Go to the movies my friends support faith based movies. The next movie will be called Captive, it looks really good.

What are you all doing? I'd love to know. Is your weather cooling down for you? Are you all on a new diet? Ok be good and remember to pray!

The last pics of CGOA conference 2015

This is Marly Bird and myself. Can you tell I was way giddy at meeting her. She was so sweet to me.

I just feel in love with this bag, I love the colors and texture I really hope they come out with a pattern to it.

This is me crocheting at Joes Crab Shack in San Diego right across the street from the ocean. I put my yarn ball in the waste bucket to control the yarn. I was making a cowl with the new Red Heart yarn I think it's called Unforgettable. It was so pretty and lush ours to work with.

This is a amethyst ring my honey bought for me, isn't it pretty? I've always wanted a big purple ring to wear around and now I have one.

I'm in the throws of cleaning again. I have so many boxes to go thru. I'm planning to finish up by Thanksgiving, I don't want to have any boxes left in my house. I want everything to have a place. Do you know what I mean?

Be blessed and enjoy the rest of summer because before we know it winter will be upon us all.

Remember Isreal in your prayers and our great nation too.
