Cgoa

These are some of the items that crocheters submitted. I love the big pumpkin and little doll. The doily is one of Katheryn Whites doilies, she won a ribbon for it it is so pretty! I love all the items the dress was lovely and so much work it was awesome. The little pillow was worked up in thread it was so pretty.
I really didn't want the conference to end! Terry said that he felt that crocheters are the nicest people he has ever met. He really enjoyed himself being only a few men at the conference! Lol
I hope to be able to attend in a few years with my grand daughter.

CGOA conference 2015

These are doilies made by Katheryn White they are lovely and she won several awards with them! No surprise there!
My computer is acting up, so the first picture is for Vikki Hooks. I told Katheryn White what fans we are of her work. She said to say hi to you and she was very sweet to me fawning all over her. The doilies won several prizes and they were so pretty. Her cardigan which I'll post a pic later was beautiful. She does awesome work. I could only dream of being close to her work. When I grow up I'll be better! Haha
The next CGOA conference will be in Charleston, South Carolina. Hubby already told me know way was I going he said maybe the next year 2017 I can go to that if the come back to the west coast. So Vikki and Vicki save up and come join me please!
Ok I'm having a blast I really love meeting all these wonderful designers and all the other crocheters. There are so may of us. It's wonderful. I met a young lady that is 16 and she finished the Master Crochet class. She will be the youngest to have completed it. She started crocheting at the age of 6. She is a very sweet young lady! Bravo to her!
Ok I'll post more later enjoy your day!

a major set back

Ok here it is! A major boo boo I could cry but I'm not going to. I was over half way done on this Lords Supper. I figured I should complete it since its been over 2 years since I started it. I'm not going to try and patch it but I'm going to start over. I have no idea how this hole cam about since I kept it in a bag but oh well it just wasn't meant to be..
If I can patch it without it looking a mess I will try but if not I'll start over! What would you do?

Isn't this magnolia flower awesome? It was on my neighbors tree and smelled awesome!

I found this pic and thought WOW!!

These were from my hubby on Mothers Day this year. He is so sweet to me! He even bought me shelves for my guest room that's being transformed into a craft room. I'll take pics when I'm done so you can see it.

God has been good to me I love Him very much and I thank Him for all He's done in my life.
Remember what He gave so we can live!

Busy busy busy

This is the angel that hung over the Blue Angel Motel on Fremont St here in Las Vegas. She was recently removed after being there for over 35 years. Isn't she awesome? The motel got torn down but they saved her!

I found this crochet case and am attempting to recreate it. It is so pretty. I hope I can do it I'll keep you posted.

I'm in the process of learning to sew. So far so good. I'm very new to it all. I'm turning my guest bedroom into a nice craft room. I recently bought a cute little dining table I'm going to paint to put my sewing machine on. I'll take pics when I'm done. I've been searching Pinterest for ideas. Do any of you have any ideas of what I need in my craft room? What's in yours?

Ok be blessed and continue praying for our world, it's in a mess right now and seems to be getting worse by the minute!

Stitches West Show

This was the door to get into the Stitches West Show.

This is what I saw first thing. Lots and lots of yarn goodness

There was lots of books but only beginning crochet books or crochet clothing books which I needed none of!

There was so much yarn but very expensive. I could buy at any yarn store if I wanted. The yarn I was looking for wasn't even there, what a bummer, back to the net to get my yarn. I really wanted some cool crochet hooks or such but the only one I found was a glass hook size K which I wasn't interested in. I was so disappointed there wasn't even thread there.

Lots of cloth items

This is the Knitmore Girls from the same name of their podcast. It's a knitting podcast but I really like listening to them. They inspired me to knit socks.

This will be the last show I go to. I really wanted to see what all the fuss was about. But it's really aimed at knitters or spinners no Crocheters. Once I saw it Im done.

Now I need to attend the Crochet Guilds Show maybe they will have what I'm looking for? What do you think?

San Francisco trip

Terry and I at wharf waiting for Alcatraz cruise

Isn't it awesome, I'd love to be on this ship

This is the front gate going into Chinatown! I bought the most awesome earthy tea.

Terry having an Irish coffee,

This is me waiting for the tram at Alcatraz.what else should I do?

This is the first thing I saw when I walked into the Stitches West show. There was very expensive yarn everywhere and there was not much of crochet items for me to purchase.

Here's a pic of the Knitmore Girls. I tried waiting in line to talk to them but it was way long. So I decided to skip it and just take a pic of them.

These are the seal lions at the end of Pier 39 they were all asleep

This is the big old sea gull waiting to eat our sourdough bread

This young lady makes these cute sourdough bears everyday we were there.

We had a really great time. I did lots of walking boy was I tired and my poor knees were not happy with it at all. But I'd do it again if Terry would like too.
My poor puppies missed us like crazy. Teacup would hardly eat and she sat where I sit the whole time I was gone. I don't have any idea how she will do when I go to our next trip for 2 weeks. Any ideas for support for her?

Aunty and cooking

Here I am in my cooking class at Sur la Table. Oh what fun! I made the most wonderful salmon dish. I love salmon so that's why I took the class. And it turned out great and yummy! I'd like to take more classes in the future.
This is my nephew Ryan. He's my oldest sisters youngest son. He's a very sweet young man.

Please pray for peace.
We are in such turmoil in the Middle East and the souls are suffering.

Cyber friends

Ok ok ok! I have the best cyber friends out there! See the cowl? I was sent that for Christmas by Stitchy McFloss and the little heart pin was sent by Betsy. I'm so lucky and blessed to know real friends on the net. Jesus is everywhere!

Here's my sweet sweet little Teacup. Isn't she pretty? Don't mind my tree I'm going to decorate it for Valentine's Day on Feb. 1st. Do any of you keep your tree up all year like me? Haha I'm weird I know! I just like decorating it for all seasons.

CAL for 2015

Here's my first CAL for 1/2015 it was a quick make and very lovely doily.
I so enjoyed making something quick and challenging all at the same time. I kept making the same error over and over. But I kept frogging until I made it correctly!

I'm coming down with a little stomach bug and would appreciate any prayers if you can. I know it won't last forever but I just don't like being sick. No energy for anything not even crochet. And that depresses me wouldn't it you?

Ok I'm off here I may make me some nice big pot of chicken veggie soup. What do you make to eat when your sick? I always make chicken soup, no rice or pasta noodles just lots of veggies. Yum!

Be blessed and remember Jer. 29:11-14...
