new church home

This is the stained glass window at the new church that Im hoping to make my forever church. The church is called The First Christian Church. I went to their Saturday meeting and they had some great worship and I enjoyed the word they taught on Luke 18:28-40. I love the comparison og Jesus coming into town on a lowly donkey and presidents flying into town on Air force One and all the ento.

My Potato Soup Recipe

4 large potatoes peeled and cut up
1/2 diced onion
1 or 2 ribs of diced celery
4 cups milk
salt and pepper to taste
1 pound chopped and cooked bacon
1 cup of cheddar cheese
1 Tablespoon flour-for thickening

ok i cooked the potatoes in water till soft. Cooked bacon, set aside then browned onion and celery in bacon grease. set all aside then drain potatoes from water then add milk and all the rest of ingredients and walla ...potato soup ala Sherri

Ok Im back to my crocheting making the Happy Flower Decoration from Attic 24 they are gifts for my grandkids for Easter.

heres my sweet Pickle Puss and you can see that she recently had surgery. She was fixed according to our new law here in Vegas. we kept the collar on her till Saturday where she forced her way through our gate and she managed to rip it off. Well come Monday she developed a small hole where her stitches were. So back to the vet she went. She is now recooping at home she received a new collar and must wear it till next Monday

heres mister Buster and when we got home with taking Pickle to the vet we had to rush him to the emergency doggie hospital because his little face was swollen from some kind of reaction. 200.00 dollars later we are back home with him we need to watch him for a few days but he should be fine

so now you know what Ive been up too now back to my crocheting...

watermelon drink

one of my favorite drink in the summer is a great glass of watermelon juice. heres the recipe

fresh watermelon cut into cubes
2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon lime juice

mash watermelon and all with masher or food processor whatever you have
run through sieve if you dont like the pulp refridgerate till cooled about 1/2 an hour
add some fruit for garnish if so desired.

I love this drink when I have had enough or want something different than tea

Rest in Peace Max May 2000- Sept. 2011

This is  one of the best pics I can find of our beloved Max, he passed this early morning and we are heart broken. We will miss his onery ways and his sweet love for us. Please say a prayer for my hubby he is very sad

HI all Im off to the Taos wool Festival in October. My very first wool festival Im so excited. We will be staying a coulple nights in Santa Fee then 3 nights in Taos. I cant believe it aa real vacation with Terry 2 years in a row.
  Ive been busy hanging out wtih my brother David who was in the hospital after an accident. Hes doing grat now but has a ways to go before he heals.
  Ive been crocheting blankets along with Karen for the Seniors this year heres hoping we get 40 done this year.

 This is Busters favorite spot his fave pillow and all the toys and his very own fan to bask in. Doesn't he look happy?

My little Buster is having his 6 month birthday this Friday and he is ready for it for sure now I jsut have to get him a little goodie maybe a cookie too. If I can find some doggie ice cream Ill g et them all some I know Bella and Max would love it.

Living Room design

    This is Buster my new bulldog pup, I just had to show you why Im taking out the carpet in my living room some one lets not name names... thinks its his private toilet and Im having a hard time breaking him of the habit.

Wow Ive been gone for a while now I see, So much going on  My brother David was in a motorcycle accident and Ive bee seeing him, he will be in rehab for 10 weeks so I try to go up to hospital at least twice a week.
  Ive asked some of the ladies who live in my neighborhood to join me in crocheting lapghans for seniors for Christmas. And we are all getting together this Saturday so I can teach those that need to be taught and I hope you will pray that all goes well.
  I haver much plans for my living room. we have decided to take out the carpet and either paint the cement untill we can afford to tile or lay down wood floors. So we will get started clearing out the room this Monday on Terrys day off. I need to pack up all my china.
  Ok Im trying to get pics on my computer of the room before I get started but having trouble uploading them as soon as I can you will see what a mess the room is in.
  Im going to everyones blog reading the progress that you all are having wow you put me to shame.
  God is so good to us remember to give Him praise and enjoy your new clean spaces.

37th wedding anniversary

Im sorry I haven't been around lately but hubby took some time off and we have been hanging out together celebrating our anniversary which is today:) He goews back to work on Friday so I will be back with you all
  I have been decorating more of that to come also.

Well better late than never I think:)

Well howdy my blessed and very loved readers:) Ive been so busy studing the word I just pray I can retain what Ive been learning,
  Went to bible study today the last for the summer, will start again in the fall. We had a such a beautiful time together. The ladies made cinnamon bread egg toast and I brought by request banana bread and we had such fun. We have come to love one another and I do hope we can get together some time during the summer. We did say we all wanted to go to Pahrump and see Di at Moms Diner. I hope so that will be so much fun.
  We studied up on Matt.5:6 today and boy did I learn lots. To hunger for Gods word and to thirst after Him is exactly what Ive been doing. I pray I will always hunger for Him in my life.
  Im going to pray about some scripture that the Lord has laid on my heart to share with you all and study up a little. Please continue to pray for me that I will retain what I am learning.
  I'm also looking for a forever church please pray that I will find one that the Lord will lead me to where He wants me to be.
